EL Gauge (wiring)

Don't know much about wiring so my question is can you wire EL gauges so that they light up when you turn on ur low beams? if anybody knows about a site that shows how, post it.

I have the Apexi EL2 gauges and the needle is lit up all the time but the gauge doesn't light up unless I turn the headlights on.

Oh, so you don't have to deal with the DRLs? Find the line that goes hot off the light switch on the column and tie into it.

or you can tie into the dimmer switch for the instrument panel.. thats how i did it...

easier than reaching the dimmer switch would be to wire them into your cigarette lighter bulb. everything in my interior that needs to come on when i turn on the headlights/running lights go to that bulb. btw i took the bulb out i dont need no dam cigarette lighter ring anyways, i dont smoke. ill prolly put a gauge in there someday.
