Ok, with current set-up I run about 1000-1200 degrees cruising down the freeway at 75, when I had a cat on the car it was running almost 1300. Is this to high?

I am used to diesels and that to me is high, not sure about a car.
I have had the car for a year now and the turbo is shot, the kid I got it from got something in the turbine side and F'ed up the wheel. So not sure if that is part of the problem, it still spools up and works fine. I am getting my hx40 on this morning not sure if that will change it or not.
