I could not find the answer on how the EGR 'system' is tested via the OBDII diagnostics, and if it 'passes the test' does it confirm the EGR system is not the cause of a Boost Leak? (EGR system is all stock). No current CEL's
Reason for the questions is during a BLT, I hear air 'somewhere' under the intake mani. Soap spray did not indicate any intake gasket leak or EGR gasket leak...but you cannot really get a good look under the mani, or get spray on the bottom of the intake mani gasket.
So, if your EGR does not cause a CEL, would that indicate it would hold 'stock boost' (12lbs)?
I did see a small leak on the AFPR adjustment screw (threads/hole where the screw meets the body of the AFPR).
Another strange thing is the gauge on the BLT does not move off zero, but I know the intake is being charged to 'some point'. Bought BLT from someone, and first time to use it. Maybe the gauge is bad? (does anyone know about what point your AFPR starts to leak?) I am set for stock boost, and do get 12lbs on my boost gauge when driving. I will need to have someone look at my boost gauge when I try the BLT to see if it moves...
Thanks in advance!
