EGR/Boost leak ??

I developed a boost leak? over the winter with the car in storage. I did change the turbo. I noticed the EGR valve is on the intake and the nipples do not have plugs on them. Would the EGR not having the nipples leak?
Would starting fluid sprayed onareas that could leak at idle expose the possible areas of boost leak? I will build a tester today and check the system, just wondering about the forementioned issues. THANKS!! Mark

the egr valve has a nipple on it where a vac hose suppose to go on and open it up during operation.

if the nipple has no hose on it
then theres your vac leak

find the hose thats suppose to go on that nipple and put it on

The emissions were completely removed when I bought the car. Since the EGR working gives up to 20% better mileage I want mine working. I saw a diagram once of the vacuum hose routng, perhaps on taboorcing. I will try to find it again so I am sure I have it correctly set withvacuum lnes. Still can't get much over 17 PSI. BOV had a leak at the flange and some silicone seemsto have have helped that. I may try incresing thepreload on the actuator arm. thanks, mark
