Did a BLT and found some huge leaks. The vacuum line to the egr was disconnected, put that on and care boosts better but boosts at 4400 rpm with the t25 turbo. Usually it boosts right away at 2500 rpm. So my tech friend found out that the egr is not working properly because the solinoid is not working. The solinoid doesn't work, therefore the solinoid is not communicating with the egr, keeping the egr stuck open at all times.

Now my question is, can I replace it with a 1g egr solinoid? do I just buy a new solinoid? Or can I just take out the solinoid and plug the vacuum lines, and block the egr? Which do you prefer? Thanks

Youre in CO and I know there are emission standards out there. I dont know what they entail but its something to think about.

Also, there is absolutely no performance benefit to blocking it off. Dont let anyone tell you different.

The 1g and 2g valves are different, the nipples face different directions, Im not sure if it would bolt up.

You could easily pick up another solenoid from a part out. Everyone seems to get rid of them.
