Yes, I've read and read until my eyeballs are bleeding about the good and the bad that I can find for these two systems. However, there isn't a single thread out there that doesn't run completely off topic into "Get a DSMLink, forget the rest." So first off, I understand a DSMLink is prime, but I simply don't have the money for one. Which of these, and only these, would you prefer:

1) ECU+: $430 (normal price)

2) E-Manage: $375 (a deal I can get on the main unit, injector/ignition, and support tool)

From what I can tell, the only major difference between the two are that the ECU+ can do the simulated Dyno and 1/4 mile information, and the E-Manage is cheaper.

Any other comments?

Thanks,
Ben

I had an E-Manage for a little while. It's basically a giant SAFC/SAFR. Without a laptop it sucks. With a laptop then you can tune a lot more finely with the fuel maps. Never seen or used the injector or timing functions. I personally would say go with the E-Manage if it's between those two since you can tune pretty well and eventually upgrade to the Profec E in the future if money permits. The drawback to the E-Manage is that it's still a piggyback computer so there are certain tuning points that you really can't control once the ECU goes into closed or (open) loop mode - can't remember which one is the one you can't tune.

Now i use the MAFT in blowthrough and an HKS SAFR. I'm thinking of getting rid of both and going to a completely different setup - probably a DSMlink V2 when the car's down for the 6 bolt swap in a month.
