ECU problems

I Have an eprom ecu PN: MD166250 which is from a Galant GSX.The car starts and runs fine except that the isc drivers are messed up so the idle surges and its had some cap leakage i believe.I have another ecu PN:MD166262 which is a 92 TEL ecu.This ecu is in mint condition with new caps and never had leakage.The problem is that my car doesnt start with the TEL ecu it cranks but no start.The one difference i saw was on the actual board had diffrent #s on them.the MD166250(GGSX) has E331B989B and the MD166262 has E331B989D.What im thinking is that the GGSX ECU could be a 90 ECU?By the way its on a Galant VR4.Any ideas?

The GGSX is a 90 ecu, it has no knock board and it is setup for smaller injectors. You shouldn't put it in your VR4. The TEL ecu will work, but the maf sensors are different, you might need an safc or some other form of tuning to compensat for the different sensor.

The car shouldn't have started with the GGSX ecu. Is it converted to a turbo ecu specs? Does it have a knockboard, and a custom chip? Can you post some pics of it? Is the car a real vr4 or is it a converted Gsx? Do you have an injector resistor box?
