ECU identification

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.

You aren't asking for a part number for a new one, are you? There are several identifiers for the ecu's, and several sites that show you which is which. You just need a 91-94 Turbo computer. If you are considering adding ecmlink, etc in the future, I'd also look for an eprom ecu. Give me a few and I will list a couple of sites that do ECU identification.

EDIT: Here you go:

http://simon.chi.il.us/ECU/ECUID.html
http://www.ecmtuning.com/wiki/ecu1gid

Those two resources are the most commonly used to identify which ECU you are dealing with, or its original application. Now, time to hit craigslist, and find one you can pick up/inspect for burned/leaky caps, etc. Using those sites, you'll be able to tell if whatever ecu you find will really work for your vehicle. Happy hunting.
