Hello friends!! Im running into an issue with my 91 TSi. Now the car ran fine, pulled up to the house, shut her off and went about my day. I went back about 2 hours later and tried to start her, no go. Started going thru everything, and found that the ecu fuse, 20 amp, had blown. I replaced said fuse and started the car. It started fine and ran for 10 seconds and dies. I check it right away and it done it again. I replaced the fuse and also replaced the ecu with a spare I have. Turned the key to run and waited. It blew again. While cranking the car it has fuel pressure so I dont think there is any short in the fuel pump wiring. I visually spotted around the wires and cant see any issues. Any ideas??

Thanks

I found my problem guys! After unplugging everything I could think of related to the ecu, then plugging things in one by one until the fuse blew again, I found that the O2 sensor was causing it. The o2 I used was a universal I wired up. I soldered and heat shrunk the wires then made a nice tape loom. Apparently the heat shrink wore a hole into each other and caused a short on the heater side. So I reheat shrunk, taped, then made a new tape loom and problem solved!
