i have a non eprom ecu and was wondering if i should sell it and buy a eprom or just send mine in and be converted. does anyone run a converted ecu? how do you like it? i also have a eprom ecu but was told it would fall on its face after hitting 3k rpms and it needs the caps replaced. would it be worth rebuilding it?

Well at this point I think your question is purely a cost question. The non-eprom to eprom conversion will give you the same functionality as a socketed eprom. I would recommend contacting ECMTuning, Inc. and explain what you have explained here. They will be able to tell you the cost difference and give you the best option. I would think you are going to come very close to paying the same either way, in which case why not be one of the few with the new conversion? Good luck!
