Ecu code 0021

I replaced my transmission and now I have ecu code 0021 engine coolant temperature circuit malfuntion.. Any ideas what that could be.?

Did you hit the coolant temp sensor by chance when you replaced the trans. Also did you get everything hooked up properly. That would be the first 2 things i would check. Or it could be that just by chance the temp sensor went bad at the exact same time.

where is the coolant temp sensor located?

It is located on the lower half of the thermostat housing, it's a 2 prong sensor.
