Don't really know if this can be done but.... well, here's my question!
I was wondering on a 1g DSM Eclipse (i.e. 1992 Eclipse w/ 1.8L Manual Tranny SOHC N/T) how would you bypass the computer (ECU) to start up a car? My friend who's selling me his 92 Eclipse said that since the ECU was bad, the mobile mechanic (That's what we call them out here in Vegas, their actual name is "Car Doctor") performed this bypass with something in the relay? Can anyone elaborate?
Reason being is I am set to see this car tomorrow night after work, and I want to be able to at least start it so I can get an idea if I want it or not. I have my manual so if you give me some tips on where to look in there, or can further elaborate, that'd be wonderful. (I am still going to get an ECU for it, but like I said, I want to be able to start it tomorrow and get a feel for it).
Thanks again!
