you have a chrysler motor with a chrysler trans when there is a problem with the trans depending on what it is it will go in limp in mode giving you only 2nd gear .i see you have multiple codes . what i usually do is first check the fluid in park and see if its full and if its smells burnt . if its burnt then you have internal problems .now the p0700 if its internal controller failure then that should be replaced .i have replaced controllers with that code and fixed the problem and if i remember correctly i might of had the other code gear ratio error with it .l bet if you erase the codes you will get the p0700 first then as you drive the gear ratio one comes back .so change the controller first . you will have to get it programed for tire size or the speedo will not work.

just went to my web site and p0700 is a code telling you that there are dtc present in trans controller . so the p0732 gear ratio error might be an internal problem . you might want to pay the 1 hour diag to tell you if its a sensor or internal

usually when the convertor is bad the car won't move at all its like having your foot on the brake while you are trying to give it gas. sometimes the clutches in the convertor go bad and you won't have convertor lock up. gear ratio error is internal clutches slipping or a bad sensor.

Changed the torque converter and it's still doing the same thing. What would you guys recommend next?

well in that case like bryanwheat posted you gears are most likely smoked in some way or the valve body has issues working properly. i would pull the trans back out and start to tear it down since it doesnt work anyway. look into a rebuild kit or another trans.

The fluid was very old (20K miles and manual recommends 30k change but I beat on it LOL) it was like black. Also I think the filter was a little clogged too.

The fluid was black which means that your clutch packs are toast. You need to have the transmission rebuilt. That new converter is junk at this point also because it now has all that debris from the clutch packs in it.

I had a rebuild done at Gorilla transmissions here in Phoenix and I'm still throwing up the same 3 codes. It is at least shifting in 1 - 2 - 3 but once I backed up the shut it didnt go in Reverse LOL.

Did they rip me or what? LOL $1350.00 out the door

Thinking about taking them to small claims court.
