i just bought this eclipse its a 99 gst with a brand new radiant 3 inch exhaust and thats it... what if the first few things i should do so i can make this car fast and not blow up at the same time

First off I would change all your fluids and check for any metal shavings in your motor oil/trans fluid and check for any oil in your anit-freeze. Then I would perform a compression test. That is normally what I do when ever I:talon: purchase a new car.

Well first off, since your at 120k your gonna need a new timing belt before anything. After that do other maintanace such as hoses, boost leak test, and compression test. Since your still on your T(too small) 25, I'd check for shaft play as well. After all that has been done then follow the stage 1 upgrade path in our tech guide. Good luck.

yea any time you buy one you have to act like the owner befor you didnt take care of it cause most of the time they didnt LOL.

timing belt is a must, i would change all fluids change out fuel filter change oil and filter.
check turbo for shaft play, make sure there are no cracks in the valve cover and doesnt happen much but have seen check for cracks on the exhust manny. make sure the boost is holding up find by checking it with a boost leak tester,

speed wise i would do a 3inch downpipe high flow cat or test pipie 3inch, boost guage, fuel pump eaither a 255 or a 190 walboro, boost controllerno more then 14/15psi , intake pipe and K&N filter with 2G adapter, and eaither buy a 1G BOV or buy an aftermarket one.

thats about all i can think of right now so good luck and help that was ahelpful to you.
