2G Eclipse to Talon, what are same parts?

Yes, I see this is a frequently asked question and I did some searching on it, but I just see a lot of answers about the actual bodies of the car.

My question is about the suspension and all the engine parts.

I just bought a 96 Talon TSi AWD and I want to lower it and mod up the engine, but I can't find squat for Talon parts, but Eclipse parts are plentiful. So can I get a suspension for a 96 eclipse off of ebay and put it on my Talon, same with intakes, headers, exhausts?

I didn't see too much answered about those kinds of parts.

Edit: And not to be a complete retard but fixing up my little brother's Focus and my old Civic was much easier figuring out which parts to get. On these lowering springs:

Would they work for my 96 Talon TSi AWD or are those only for 2WD, I can't figure it out from the description.

The Eclipse GSX has the exact same drivetrain and suspension as an AWD Talon. The Eclipse GST has the exact same engine. Assuming they are 2G like yours.

+1 There is very little difference between Eagle and Mitsubishi engine-wise when compared year to year.

Those will only work with an FWD car. You'll need parts for a GSX.

Exactly. Any drivetrain/suspension/exhaust components from a GSX will work on your car. Any engine parts from a GST or GSX will work on your car.
Any body parts from a RS, GS, GST or GSX will work on your car. (Watch for differences in headlights though. There are 2 different styles.)

Do do a little research on each part and about the different trims and you'll learn quickly enough.

Yea the only difference are pretty much cosmetic. All the 2g Talons use the 2ga style headlights. With the eclipse the 97-99 front bumpers have a slightly different style headlight.

I own a 95 eagle talon and I want to replace my dented quarter panel and i can’t because there no talon parts my question is , does the 95 eclipse quarter panel fit my talon? I also plan on putting the blitz body kit on it and with that I know I have to get the eclipse taillights so I’m wondering if the eclipse parts would fit my car?

The tail lights and rear bumper are different on a talon. With that being said you can swap an eclipse rear clip onto the car with just modifying the center section of the rear of the car to receive the eclipse rear bumper.

With that being said I’d imagine the back corner of the quarter panel would work where it meets the bumper cover and taillight.

Not sure what type of wing is on your car if you have one but you may have to patch some holes if getting it from a car with the 3 piece wing.

All the steel body panels are the same between Talon and Eclipse of the same generation. So 95-99 Eclipse body panels will fit a 95-99 Talon. However, the trim (plastic parts) are usually different.
