I just realized last week that there is a good chance my car is lowered. The reason I say this is because it has Eibach springs and eccentric bolts up front.

I doesn't look dropped but I've never had it parked next to another stock height car either.

Anyways, does it matter which direction the bolts are installed? Bolt head/washer towards the front of the car or towards the rear?

Does anybody know the adjustment range with these? Doesn't seem like it would be too much just by looking at them.

Maybe I'm just not sure about what bolts you are describing, but I'm not sure how eccentric bolts would affect the height of a car. Where are these bolts located? A photo would be helpful for me. Those springs will lower the ride height, usually around 1.5" or 38mm. I would assume the eccentric bolts are meant to adjust the camber in some way

I'm not saying the bolts lowered the car. I'm saying the springs did.

The bolts normally accompany the springs to allow you to adjust camber. You need the bolts to negate the camber introduced from lowering.

They are in the strut tower, where it connects to the hub assembly.

Eccentric bolts adjust the toe angle of your suspension only and have nothing to do with your car's ride height. Please post a picture of the bolts you're describing so that we all can see and guide you better. I've never seen eccentric bolts on the front of any car's suspension, so might be for something else.

They look like this more or less. I can't get a pic of the actual bolt because its at home.

I adjust the toe of my front suspension with my tie rods. Do you use a bolt to adjust yours ?

They are the camber correction type of eccentrics not the rear toe eccentrics. The confusing part is that he asked if they go toward the front or back, when in reality the question should have been pointing in or out from the fender well. To correct camber on a lowered car, you need to push the upper control arm out farther away from the fender well. To do this, set up those eccentric bolts with the hole as far out towards the wheel as possible. That way, the top of the wheel also moves outward while the bottom stays put, therefore straightening out the camber once again. Most of the front eccentrics I've seen only adjust .75* so I'm not sure if it will be quite enough but better than nothing. With the slightly negative camber left your car should handle pretty good, though it will wear through tires a little sooner than if it was aligned closer to normal...

I was referring to a 2g yes, thats the pic he posted? Sry if that is for a 1g then you'll have to get someone with more specific model knowledge than me, I didn't think there was any type of eccentric camber system for the 1gs at all with the mcpherson setup???
