So i finally got some money for walbro 190 pump and maybe some evo 8 injectors later on. My question is: is it OKAY to buy walbro 190 fuel pumps on Ebay ?

I know its ebay and i've asked a question like that before "is it ok to buy timing kit from Ebay", but now its a completely different product.

You are bidding on a brand new authentic Walbro 190 LPH Fuel Pump + Installation Kit. This is a direct in-tank replacement. Retail price 149.99$

It states that its original product and it is cheaper than a retail price. What is a cheapest price you have ever seen on these pumps and where ? Should i get a rewire kit too ? Is installation kit necessary or just a pump will be enough for install ?

I also see that in the description they say that it fits cars like accord, integra bla bla bla, but really ? are they all universal or there are pumps for specific cars ?

I have no idea how to install the pump and i've read vfaq but that didn't quite help me because i am too stupid i guess :)

Anyways, how hard is it really is to change the pump ? Would you suggest a mechanic maybe ?

As long as it is a true Walbro, and not a knockoff marked as a walbro, you should be fine.

For some changing a fuel pump may not be something they are comfortable, for others they are. Only you know, have you done mechanical work in the past? Do you understand basic wiring?

It is a straight forward process that you could probably manage on your own, maybe have a friend around incase.

Remove your back seat and pull off the fuel pump cover, disconnect power connection to the pump. Then try to start your car (it wont) but this will drain your fuel lines. Disconnect negative battery terminal.

Then start disconnecting your fuel pump lines from your pump housing, remove your fuel pump. Make sure you cover the gas tank opening with a cloth or something so debry doesn't contaminate your tank.

Then using the parts from your new fuel pump, disconnect your old one and reinstall your new. There is a video on youtube of a guy installing one on his 2g.

As was said in the previous post just make sure it's a true Walbro fuel pump, but extreme psi doesn't have a bad price on them either, and you can get a 255 which will most likely be your last fuel pump by you may max out the 190. So I'll just go ahead with the 255 here's the link at extremepsi,
EXTREME PSI : Your #1 Source for In Stock Performance Parts

I am going with 190 because:
First: i dont need FPR and thats some money saved.
Second: my goal for now is 350-400hp and 190 is good enough for this goal.

Yes 190 is good for your goal and yes ebay is ok, we have supporting vendors on this forum that help keep this site up and running. I would use them for your purchase first just my .02

I've purchased both a 190 and a 255 pump off of ebay and had no issues with either. I'd say you're good to go.

Or keep an eye on the classifieds. I got my 255 with 200 miles for $25 in a part out. Just an option.

@1995silvergst
I'd go with Extreme PSI but they don't price match with Ebay for what ever reason. And if they ship products for free then i will definitely buy the pump from them.

@mchustle
I am trying to put as many new parts in my car as possible, i tend to only buy new stuff or locally so i can see the product.
