So with my set up, BSEK and no power steering or A/C, will this crank pulley be good or bad. This is going to be purely a weekend track/ strip car. will not be on the road as a DD.

This doesn't matter.
And yes it's good if you want to split your crank in half.

It seems to me that anytime you remove a harmonic balancer (designed to save your crank from breaking) and run your alternator at a slower RPM it would be bad.

I'm sure others will agree and disagree. This question has been posted a billion times before. EVO 7-8-9 it says. Isn't that a completely different configuration? Or is it the same engine, just reversed?

I'll admit, it's not something I would ever choose to do for various reasons. A DD I would strongly advise against it but for being on a track car is a different story.

You'll be rebuilding the car more often and will be able to check for wear a lot better than someone DD. Then again, if you are dumping all that money into a track car you want something that won't blow up on you so go Fluidamper or the ATI version.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the honest answers and will go the traditional method:)

As for the item, it does state in the add, Evo and 4g63, so I didn't figure on it being much different in such away to cause incompatibility, but did see most guys arguing the fact of the purpose and some arguing against, so I wanted to make sure before I made a purchase I regret.

As stated, I'm putting a good bit of change down on this motor and always like to get first hand experience on some of the aftermarket stuff, rather than taking chances.
