hey i just installed my front mount on my car and am wondering on installing this ebay radiator as some added insurance. what u guys think. the core is more than twice the size of stock.

ebay radiator

looks pretty good to me. only thing i might be worried about is getting the fans flush against the radiator as the posts look a little far away from the core

anyone buy similar ebay radiators and had good luck?

I would be weary(sp?) of ebay products but it seems that this guy has a shop, and has 98% pos feedback. As for the size it should fit but you may want to measure it up before you get it if you havn't already. Do you have stock fans or aftermarket? Just reattach them on the new rad as they came off the old one. Also you shouldnt need to replace your current rad unless its fins are turning white in places because it will keep the engine cool up and past 400hp.

stock fans.
havent had any problems yet, but i havent driven with the front mount yet. (waiting for non cracked 2g ex mani)
can the stock radiator cool 400 for spirited long term driving? or just drag racing a 1/4 mile?

You'll find alot of members on this site that are weary of e-bay products, alot of it is junk, some of it is quite good. Its a great price. Just remember the first driver of a V-8 to switch to a turbo 4 was probably warned against it too. My suggestion is go ahead and get it, and then do a review on the product, and maybe even a tech article if you end up likeing it. But remember take it easy at first, until you are sure of its ability to stand up to temp and preasure. Thats just my .02 worth. In the end, its all up to you. Let us know what you decide.

well put!!:thumb:

made of copper and brass with less cooling efficiency

Copper and brass cool way better than aluminum, and I don't remember the stock radiator only being 5/8" thick.

I'd invest the extra cash into a Koyo, Griffin, or other well known brand myself.
