ebay.... oops?

so I uhhh, bid on an item in ebay, thinking it was more than what it really was. To be specific, a set of rims. Well I THOUGHT it was a set of rims, but then while reading it again, I realised its just one rim. So my maximum bid, while low for the price of four rims, is WAY to high to buy one rim at. Can I take back my bid? What happens if I refuse to pay? I already contacted the seller and asked him to ignore my bid and Ill give him 10 bucks if he does. Anyone know what else I could do? Posted here ### I don't want people going on ebay and looking for these rims and bidding on them so I'll have to pay more.

retract your bid. i think if it is before the last 24hrs of the auction you can still retract it. and it gives you a drop-down list of reasons why you want to retract it.

that would have been a 250 dollar mistake for one evo 8 rim...damn, thank god I found that. too bad I emailed the buyer, maybe I should email him back.....


you have to submit an ebay retraction form, 12 hours before the end of the bidding. in case anyone cares to search this topic and this thread comes up, theres the answer.


btw, Im never going on ebay again, thats the SECOND TIME, I've done something like that, the first time I was outbid thank god, but this time if they didn't have retractions I would have been screwed. its just better if I just stay OFF EBAY. thank god for UNLMTDNDEAVOR, you saved my ass on that one, I owe you one.
