I was looking at some the mirrors on ebay that has the turn signal built in, and I wanted to know is it hard to install and wire it to my signal.

I'm looking at these mirrors eBay Motors: 89-94 MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE POWER G2-M3 CARBON MIRROR LED (item 160223557431 end time Apr-03-08 17:46:38 PDT)
and wondering what they would look like...I plan on waiting until I can find the all black ones(or man-up and paint them myself)or the versions with smoked lenses...mainly I'm wondering about how they look. Anyone have any pics of these installed on a 1g? I don't want to buy them and then be pissed because I don't like them. The install and wiring shouldn't be too bad,but if they look like ass I don't want them on my carLOL

I'm not hating,I'm having second thoughts...I'm not sure that they would look right on my 1g,on yours they probably look better. I might go after the Galant folding mirrors instead, undecided until I see a 1g with these mirrors on them.

Edit:Actually I meant Lancer mirrors, and I can't show the link to Ebay 'cause for some reason it's too slow right now.

Why does every one hate on anything that is different? I only bought my ebay mirrors because when I bought my car one of my mirrors was missing, and the ebay ones are way cheaper!
In the case of the mirrors you mention, we don't hate them because they're "different", but because they're "the same" as something that's a hallmark of another, unrelated, wholly-different-class car. Like the twin-stalk mirrors off an SLK or Testarossa, or the halo eye headlights or fender vents of BMW (which were stolen from their own lovely 507).
White guys with Afro hairdos used to bring on similar emotions, in those of us antiquated enough to have experienced the phenomenon second-hand.

When I got my 97, it had a cheap ass set of ebay m3 style mirrors on it. They were the biggest pile of shit I have ever run across on a dsm. Even if they didnt shake and shimmy under normal vibration, the were still too small and angled just to the point that you couldnt see crap out of them. I removed them and replaced them with a set of stock power mirrors. So far, that has been the best upgrade I have made to the car. Here is what they looked like on the car.

^^^^^Thats right ebay mirrors with some lights on them are better than the MERCEDES ones which is one of the number one car manufacturesWTF
Its not about the lighting its about how functional they are.

Well judging from the massive increase in turn signal mirrors by all the manufactures (think scion, suburu, etc.)I would have to say they are quite functional. Fender lights accomplish the same thing. I am all for increased safety and in mho increased visibility=increased safety. I never had a problem being able to see behind me with them but thats just me I guess. As for the puddle light its a convenience thing and I have only seen it on gm and ford trucks like the Escalade etc.

It's one thing when you see a car blowing down the fast lane with their left turn signal on for fifteen miles. It adds a whole new dimension when they have the chevron in the mirror flashing away in front of them.

And I don't get having either amber tail signals, and red mirror signals, or vice-versa. These guys probably carry a brown purse while wearing black shoes. Gauche.
