I order an intake for my 95 eclipse gs from an ebay dealer...and well it came today and it has no nipple for the hose going back to the top of the VC. It came with the hose that connects to the nipple on bolth the VC and intake, but no nipple on the intake. Did they send me the wrong tube???? I messged them this morning and no word back yet on what happened. Thanks

ok, just got the message back from the place i bought it and they say its the correct one for the car.(they also say the pic shows it dosnt have it on it) They tell me i need to tap the intake and put in a nipple...

The website says its the right one for the car, so if its the right one for the car it should have the nipple pre-attatched.

So...what do i do now. order a new one and just trash this one or tap it and put on a nipple?(i dont have access to welding tools or anyhting like that so i would have to find something i could do without welding.

Well... it is ebay after all... they cant get everything right :p

If it was for a decent price just get it tapped at a local shop or yourself. Do you at least have a drill?

Honestly an intake is an intake, theres no special voodo magic in them that differ from the $100+ ones out there...

Just get something like this and call it a day

eBay Motors: 95-99 ECLIPSE NON TURBO BLUE 2.0 COLD AIR INTAKE FILTER (item 190293957187 end time Mar-20-09 11:43:08 PDT)

I agree, just tap it and call it a day. Theres no reason to go through getting your money back or exchanging it for another intake and even then you might get the wrong one again. A brass nipple can only be like a couple bucks if that from home depot and its really not that hard. Good luck to ya :)

Yeah drilling and taping the hole won't be hard. Try and find a flat and thick area to drill (makes a more stable thread hole).

Chances are that it's not thick enough to get the threads to be stable enough to hold it permanently. That's why I suggested a bit of JB weld. Just a little extra reassurance.

That is quite true. ROFL don't mention JB Weld around here, people flip shit. I used JB Weld when sealing up the cover during the BSR and people freaked out.

I had to reference the vfaq link so they stopped yelling.
