To summarize what has been said about those ebay FMICs (I'm talking about several variations such as 24X12X3, 24X12X4, 24X8X3 etc), a lot of happy folks are running them with no issues whatsoever.
Major 'complaint' is lack of 'official' testing and numbers. I have not come across any quality comlaints at all. In my opinion they're more then worth the price. I'm still puzzled how they manage to sell this stuff so cheap, but it's legit and quality is excellent.

I don't think they cost that much to make. Vendors just charge 3X the amount because it has there name on it.

you mean as for piping? well if you buy the intercooler piping kits on ebay that are unverisal you have some cuting and stuff to do but it will work just becareful and you should be all set you might be able to get a shop to bend some piping for you as well if you know what you need my friends father bent some for a few people at his shop worked great ill be having some done for myself once my motors back in one pieace whenever that maybe

That setup will work fine. Only thing I would add is to get real 2-ply sillicone couplers instead of the cheap silicone.
