Ebay External WG

I recently bought an external wastegate and the o2 housing to go with it. Let me first say I understand the views regarding ebay on here and I took a risk, but I would just like to share my experience with it to help out other dsmers in the future. First off, I purchased the 38mm external wastegate from Godspeed for $75.00 shipped. It arrived 4 days later in a box packed up very nice. It came with all nessary gaskets and bolts, 2 38mm flanges, an 8 psi spring, an 11 psi spring and a 15 psi spring. The quality on everything appeared to be very good. I put the 15 psi spring in and tested it out using a blow gun and it worked great no leaks and held pressure. Next came the o2 housing. I got it from foward automotive off ebay as whell. It cost 150.00 shipped and also arrived 4 days after i ordered. The quality appeared to be very nice, it had very nice welds and thick flanges. Also the o2 bung was even in the right place! It bolted right up to my 16g, it came with gaskets and bolts that actually threaded in nice! I installed it after taking my flapper out and porting the hotside. Now ive had it on for a week, no exhaust leaks or boost creep. it opens at 15psi and holds it to redline. I could not be more happy with this setup. I will post back in a few mounths to say if ive had any problems.

I just wanted to show some pics and give an update. im going on 700 miles now with no issues yet!

Update! good and be news to be told. good news first, my waste gate is still working good 2k miles +. the bad news, a fellow dsmer just informed me via PM that he ordered the same set up I have and the waste gate didn't line up with the o2 housing. I believe he was able to make it work but I just figured I would inform you all of the chance your taking buying this so beware.

UPDATE!

5500 miles on it since the install and not one issue yet, the only negative thing i can say at this point is the paint on the wastegate has went from a glossy black to a flat black.

Well its been over a year since I installed this set up and ive put over 10k miles on it and haven't had an issue. The only negative thing is the paint on the waste gate is fading. The stainless hasn't rusted, there are no cracks or leaks and it hold boost perfect. I am personally very happy with this set up and would recommend it.
