So i have done some searching on exhaust on this site, i want to know about the ebay products. i searched and all i could find was ebay downpipe questions that didnt answer my question specificaly. I see greddy and apexi and hks exhausts on ebay for 400-500 and i want to know if that is the same thing as going to a greddy dealer and buying one from them? Im not talking about the greddy style knockoffs.

Dealing with ebay always has its risks. If you are looking to buy genuine Greddy parts, ebay may not be the bet place to look. If you have a specific item you are looking at post the link. Otherwise all you really have to go off of is the sellers feedback. Biggest thing to remember with Ebay is, if it sounds like too good of a deal, it more than likely is.

$400-$500? Apexi and Greddy doesn't even sell them to shops for that price. Have you seen the shipping price? Is it like $100 USD for shipping? Lot of those ebay guys make the price sound awesome and than make up for the difference in the shipping price. For example, I saw this exhaust system for $199.99, I was like wow thats an amazing deal, checked out the shipping so the total was going to run around $299.99 USD. Lot of those guys rip you off in the shipping part. 95% of Greddy or Apexi stuff on ebay are knock offs because I get Greddy Exhaust systems for wholesale because I work for a shop and the shop doesn't even get them for that price. Anyway I hope that helps you out. You are buying a knock off which they probably made for like $50 LOL.

go for a bosal exhaust, if you see one on ebay its good stuff man. 325 shipped to my door for a 3". Nice looking and sounding!

Those look pretty legit, but you can never really tell. I know hop up racing has some pretty good prices on exhausts, especially the HKS. The carbon-ti is on sale for $645 shipped and you know it's legit. So if you chose the HKS I would go here.

A good thing to remember when shopping on eBay is that 98% feedback may look good, but that's terrible. You shouldn't deal with anybody who's feedback is less than 99.5%.

That's a little tough, I know you have to be careful but...... If you've ever been on the customer service side of thing you know that there are some customers that try as you might, you just can't make them happy. If a seller has over 1,000 sales and a 98% rating that's pretty darn good in my opinion.
If he's making 98 out of a hundred happy, chances are the other two we being kinda stubborn. There is no face to face on ebay so leaving negative feedback isn't very hard. But that's just my .02 ;)

I agree that's true if it's a large seller, but I meant from someone who sells on eBay to make a little money, and only does a few sales, not someone who's business is selling parts on eBay, the point is to be careful. Like you said obviously someone selling thousands of parts can't please everyone, but a small-scale seller should be able to.

yeah, its my favorite aftermarket part, thanks man, my car looked super stock until i got to the point i needed to change my intercooler and was talked out of an upgraded sidemount by the guys on here.

i bought allot of stuff off ebay from car parts too clothing and everything was awesome!! It just depends who you buying from, just make sure the person is a Power Seller with good feedback. if the seller has good feedback you will be fine. I love ebay becuase the prices are just awesome!!! LOL ROFL :talon:
