I didn't mean to make it sound like I am basing my choice solely on price. If money wasn't an issue I'd be running MGP or Groden aluminum rods or a set of A beam Carrillo's. I'm just saying for what I paid for a brand new set, plus the oiling hole, plus they're lighter then Eagles; I chose the SCAT's. Others will argue that SCAT's are not as good and you don't really need that oiling hole. Truth be told you don't NEED that oiling hole, I just like the extra piece of mind.
I love them. I run scat rods in my gsx and torched a bearing and a rod, but that was my own dumb fault for using a bad crank. new bearings and a new rod and it runs like a champ now
