I want to paint my car by myself. I already primer the car and kind of like the flat look of it but I was thinking of painting it red or white. Does anyone recommend painting the car with spray paint such as duplicolor. I am very familiar with their brand and doing little projects but will it keep up with mother nature.

We sell it at my work, and I've been using it for a few years since I started there. I have to say that out of all the different brands I've tried over the years, I'm extremely happy with Duplicolor. It covers nicely, dries fast, and is quite durable.

My daily driver for example, has been in a permanent "hot rod" black Duplicolor primer for about 3 years now.

Spray painting can work out just fine, if you take the right steps and don't rush painting it. Make sure you do it in low humidity and that you prep it correctly. Take it panel by panel. I've actually used the Duplicolor to repaint the roof on my old 1g, and at first it turned out horrible. I completely stripped it and took more time and it turned out great.

I have also used duplicolor wheel paint, followed by duplicolor clearcoat, worked great.
