toronto,
ok, so i took out the dump tube, n just reinstalled everything....i followed the direction carfully...u can hear the turbo hiss like maad now, and my spool up seems to b faster, my boost gauge is also fluctuating higher/faster in 1st gear...but i dont hear my blow off valve go off...i used to hear the thing go off pretty much every time i shifted, but this time nuttin, i got it up to 60mph in my block, but i dint hear the bov go off even once...did i screw up the bov? cuz if it doesnt release the excess heat...wouldnt it blow?

same thing happened to me... go to home depot or lowes or somwhere and get a peice of pvc piping 1" outer diameter and cut it to 3-4 inches long and jb weld it back in, that worked for me. some other people say that it was the bend in the original dumptube pipe that made the loud bov sound, so if you want you can try getting a 90 degree elbow to put on it as well... i tried with elbow and without... 90 degree elbow will give it a louder bov sound than just the pvc alone but its just way too restrictive in there which im sure you will notice by a smaller amount of hissing the intake used to make. just the pvc i think does the job, it gets ur sound back and it allows more airflow than it used to. hope this helps let us know if it worked for you.
