I currently have a GReddy EVO2 catback exhaust with a cheap exhaust mani and hiflow cat. The muffler is starting rust out being I got the car from up north and probably wasn't taken care of/washed off after the harsh winters. I am looking to get the Apexi WS II catback system, but only if there isn't a dual tip exhaust that you all know of, I just like the look better since the opening on our bumers is so wide. Can't seem to find one for an N/A 2g without going stock. Any ideas?

Im not sure how many "catback" systems you will find with a dual tip muffler. However, you could always find a dual tip muffler you like and have an exhaust shop swap it in place of the old one. I know Vibrant and Magnaflow both make dual tip mufflers specifically for our cars. This is also one of those rare times where it's okay to shop on eBay, just be sure to research before buying.

Also, keep in mind that a catback (or muffler) for a FWD turbo DSM will fit your NT. So don't limit your searches to NT specific.

Like stated above, your better off buying the muffler and having a shop build the rest of the exhaust rather than cutting up an aftermarket exhaust.

+1+1+1 and you can goto the Vibrant Exhaust website, I purchased one of their 3" dual tip stock look performance mufflers off ebay. Check their website to see the size you want.

I'll be another one to chime in saying you should just go custom if you want dual tip as I've never personally seen a dual tip turbo-back or cat-back exhaust. That said, dual tip is the way to go. Here's what I had fabbed up for mine:

I've been wanting to change up my exhaust as well, ISIS has a 3in dual tip cat back for a 240, but they sell the tip alone too. As soon as I'm done with my 6 bolt swap, I'm going to get my local exhaust shop to weld it up. It's going to be angeled to the left and pointing slightly up, and be flush with the bumper, and not 5 feet away from the bumper like a lot of 240 guys have it.

Here is the link! Ive seen it instaaled on a Galant VR4

I have one for my DSM,many guys put these on Audis and BMW's as well.

Vibrant Performance ::.

You can get a vibrant muffler off of ebay for cheaper and with smaller inlet and tips by using part #'s.I also googled vibrant muffler with dual tips and many of their different styles came up along with different vendors.

Could you post up a pic of your exhaust? I want to go this route with my talon since I am trying to make it more stealthy.

I had thought about just getting a new muffler, but wasn't sure what would give a good sound without being raspy and a fart can. I also wasn't sure the turbo catback systems would work, thought the down pipe was offset or something.

Thanks for all the 'tips' guys!

Yeah that is nice. I just know I don't want to keep the Evo2's 4.5" tip or anything that large.

Any ideas on what resonator and/or catalytic converter to get? I figure if I'm going to do this the right way I should start with something decent and then cut off the muffler and add the dual tip muffler. Probably need a new header since the one I have is about 6 years old and was bought on ebay, same with the hi-flow cat (OBX).

The one ryztriumph posted looks pretty good. Honestly I think dual tips look too small compared to the big butt on the Eclipse.

I photoshopped this picture a year ago and received nothing but positive feedback. I think that will be my exhaust system after getting rid of some other things.

What do you think?

+1 on the vibrant mufflers- they have some nice clean rolled edge. put that muffler on your exhaust system vs getting a new catback

- otherwise jeff at IPS motorsports has catback systems for 3000gt's that uses a massive dual tip muffler, something you could call and ask what the muffler itself would just be if he's open to the idea.

Hehehaha!

And remember that taking apart your exhaust may be a huge pain. On my '98 N/T I had a hydraulic lift and I still had to use a drill since bolts didn't budge, torch, tons of PB (which is flammable by the way), and breaker bars. The car had not been driven in the winter for half its life too (and we're in NE so winter is usually fairly mild).
