Drove the ESi from Chicago to Columbia South Carolina. Some 850+ miles for 11 hours straight. Me and my boy switched off driving and only stopped for gas. Literally drove 11 hours, stopped for about 30 minutes, and put the car on the dyno in SC as soon as we got there. Car never cooled down. Luckily, it made it back in 1 piece. Only problem I had was the side market popped out while driving 11 hours straight back. Was hanging by the wire.

Same year, drove from Chicago to St. Paul MN. Car was then turboed, so was more worried about that. Was about 6 hour drive, can't remember the mileage. Again, stopped only for gas and once for food. Oh and traffic jams. Only problems were one of the exhaust housing bolts popped out of the turbo, so leaving Mall of America, the car got really loud due to the exhaust leak. Took a bolt from the PS reservoir and was in there until I pulled the motor actually. Second problem was getting rear-ended while stuck in traffic on the way back home. Was a little tap, no marks or anything. I wasn't even that pissed. Just yelled at the guy for some time.

Everyone else cars were having problems out in MN. One dude was having massive overheating issued, so we hardwired the fans for the time being in the middle of the ghetto off the expressway. Was good times though.

Orlando to ATL. stayed at parents 4 days. Atlanta to florida keys, philly, Tampa. 2 day rest, Miami to Philly 2 day rest, back to Orlando. I75 to FL turnpipe- cruise control 85-95 / Turnpipe to I 95- 75-80 (alot of FL hwp) I95... 85-100 until I got pulled over in NC for aggressive driving... (verbal warning) Flat tire replaced in Philly. Philly to tampa. 85-100. Tampa to Miami - 75-80 Miami to Philly80-90 (gf following in 3g) I95 & I4 philly back to Orlando 90-100. (gf very angry for driving "Too fast... You're gonna get arrested and I'm not gonna bail you out... nag nag nag.) LONG trips. Took about a week and a half. Valentineone radar detector is a must. Scanner didn't help at all. No problems at all besides replacing yokahama, shitty gas milage and immediate oil change. Didn't drive her for a few weeks after that.

Drove from Toronto, Ontario to St. John's, Newfoundland and my car never let me down.

Just got another Spyder, Had to goto Pittsburg from Atl, on crappy tune. NO problems except she drinks and smoke oil. CV joint will be replaced soon... This is from previous owner... No cruise control,

She drives like a champ. So 650 miles in about 9 hours. Doing about 10 - 20 over... Gas milage was okay. I'd say 25-27. But I was playing with her alot... and that brand new Mustang GT... His facial expression after the sleeper 20g kicked in at 2nd n 3rd gear was priceless... :thumb:

New Orleans, Louisiana to Daytona Beach, FL many times 8-12 hr drive depending on speed and stops. most of the time it took about 10hrs. But I managed to do it once inf 8 hrs LOL not telling how.

I drove my 92 eclipse from San Antonio Tx. to Lawton Ok. and back somewhere around 10 times each with no problems then I pulled a 5foot by 8 foot uhaul enclosed trailer with it from Lawton, Ok. to Phoenix Arizona. Then over the next 2 years made the trip from Phoenix to Lawton about 4 times The only thing I ever Replaced on that car was the Clutch ( I should not have let that cute little blonde drive it no matter how fun she was).

Central Illinois to Norwalk Ohio. its about a 7.5 hour drive. The 1g was actually quite comfy for the drive! I was very surprised. Thats the furthest trip mine has made.

From kalamazoo to bloomington indiana, for school one way about 5 hours, i went one way, and turned around same day. Hella fun.

I drive every year from Pensacola, FL to Asheville, NC. This year I'm going to attempt it in my 1G Auto. Should be fun seeing as how the Auto keeps the rpms at like 3200-3300rpms at 60mph in OD. God I wish we had an option somewhere to slap a 5 speed Auto trans in these cars.

Used to do 300 mile trips in mine regularly. The 600 mile mark seemed to be the time bomb for mine.

One trip, the PP bolts backed off, and I ended up driving from Los Angeles to Las Vegas with no clutch disengagement. Not proud to say I blew a few lights and stop signs. That was one hell of an adventure. Another trip, the coil pack literally died right as I stopped to park in the driveway.

I'd like to see this thread turn into a "show off your roadie DSM tool and parts bag". I think that'd have epic potential :)

I drove my previous 97 GST across country from Boston to LA when I moved there. A little over 3200 miles making stops along the way seeing the sights. I don't think I'll ever make such a trip again.
