Hi, I currently am running the dsmlink v2 on my 98 and when my motor gets done(built 6-bolt) along with my other goodies, i was thinking that getting a wideband might not be such a bad idea. I can get a really good deal right now through a friend of mine and i think i should jump on it. Bsaically, i want to know how much more effective is the wideband going to make my tuning off the dyno. I dont want to spend days on the dyno. I know the dsmlink measures a/f ratio but wha exactly is the difference between that and a complete wideband. What do you all think? How effective will it be for me? I am pretty familiar with tuning and most of the settings on the dsmlink also.

You'll be able to see your knock count. You really want to tune for zero knock, knowing what your exact a/f ratio is at that point of zero knock is a nice benefit, and if you have the money to burn then sure, get the wideband. But you don't need it.
