Help me out here, fellas... I dropped in a set of FIC 1750's and began E85 tuning today. After 3 road sessions I got things fairly well dialed in. I made a few final adjustments, loaded the map and DA changes and went back out to do some pulls. As soon as I got to the end of the driveway the log started freezing, starting & stopping, etc... Sometimes it resumes after 3-4 seconds other times it was minutes before it would resume. I noticed that when it stops logging the sometimes the green LED on the logging cable goes out, but not every time. I was only able to get one 2nd gear pull logged after 15 minutes of driving.... I checked the connection at the diag port and it was fine, I rerouted the cable, etc.. with no change. Now I'm even having intermittent issues getting it to connect. I had this issue happen once or twice (but not nearly as bad) a few months ago. I read somewhere that if the ECU detects interference it will pause the datastream. Around that time I found a few plug wires that had minor damage to the insulation and replaced them while the car was down for other things, and I've never seen it since until today. Until now I assumed that's probably what it was. Along with new plug wires I put in a brand new coil pack and a new TPS as well.

DSMLink V3, latest software and firmware.

Any suggestions..!?

Just one question: Did you update your ECU and Software to the latest version?

I have also connection problems with the latest version. Everythin works just fine until I want to save some changes to the ECU. Then the connection aborts and I can't connect again until i reboot the laptop.

I upgraded to the latest version several weeks ago and haven't had an issue until now. Yesterday I successfully logged over an hour of data over three different sessions and on the 4th is when I ran into this issue. Intermittently I'm not able to connect; it fails partway through the connection sequence. If I am able to connect the log will typically roll at idle, but even that has been problematic now.

I've been advised on another forum that it may be the cable. I'm going to e-mail the ECM Tuning with the symptoms and see what they say...
