how well has the hacked 2g maf default option in dsmlink worked for you, drive-ability wise? was the default accurate enough or did you have to do any additional tuning for the added incoming air? if so, was it a minimal amount of tuning involved or a pita?

im considering the hacked maf default option so i can finally remove the restrictive honey combs. but want to know your experience with it first.

thanks

Worked OK, not great. The car ran fine, but I could never get the fuel trims right on. I really don't think the honeycombs are THAT restrictive. I ended up putting mine back in and couldn't tell a difference.

thanks doug. can anyone else who has had any experience with the hacked maf default option chime in?

I am running the dsm link with hacked maf. I cant say it runs great b/c if I do with it being a dsm I will jinx myself. The fuel trims are a lil harder to get and frustrating, but as long they are withing 5 of each other or so you dont really have to worry unless its like -12.5 or + 12.5 (max both ways). My trims are idle= -1.6 cruise trim -4.6. Drive it 60 miles aday and get 24-28 mpg. So has worked good for me
