I got my Dzus fastener quick release bumper kit in! Thank you overkill performance for making such an easy solution!! It took me about 2 hrs to install the kit. I still have to mess with the alighnment a bit. Plus I have a non-OEM bumper and I think the tabs are a little thicker than the OEM ones so I just need to sand it down a little to be able to slide the bumper into place easier. Other than that the install was very smooth. I used overkills instructions along with jaxness's write up on here. With those 2 documents you have every pic you need.

Just a note to add to those wanting to use COP or CNP set ups on the stock ecu, its pointless. You are not charging each coil to the proper amount and actually getting a weaker spark. Can you do it sure, but there is no benefit to it. To be honest with you the stock coil has been taken to over 500whp on the 420a, so for 99% of us there is no reason to go with COP or CNP but we do it to either be different or push the envelope even more. I think Dougie over at xtrememfabrications.com has even taken the stock coil to over 700whp but don't quote me on that.

Agreed on the COP on the stock ECU. there would be no point. My choice to use the VAG COPs was to:

1) be a little different
2) challenge myself to get to car running in sequential mode on MS3X.


Now on to some more updates. I got a little itchy waiting to see how the Treadstone mani and turbo would look mocked up plus I wanted to see how I would have to run the DP with the new radiator hoses. I really can't wait until this is a permanent piece in the engine bay! For those wondering the turbo is an Evo3 16g with a T3 20g hot side. I will probably upgrade to a 20g before I actually turbo the car. Anyways on to the pics. Hope these help someone else looking at this manifold.

Now I also finished up the new power steering line and rerouted the wiring for the coolant sensors. I deleted the stock O2, AC, and power steering pressure connector. I extended the wires and ran them along the power steering line with the wideband O2 and EGT. I put a piece of 5/8'' coolant hose over the new pressure hose just to help keep everything from wearing through there. I think it came out great and really cleaned up that side of the engine bay. Next on the long list of the engine bay tuck is to weld up all the holes and shave the engine bay.

Now with the new radiator I had to make a new front bumper support. This is what I came up with. just nice and simple. I also bent up a new duct just to help guide the air into the radiator.

Lastly for this update I finally made a battery cover for the back. Right now its just plasti dipped black and is just resting there. I need to make up a few brackets to fasten it to but you get the basic idea.

Wow, that battery cover looks really clean. Nice job . That is exactly where I want to put my control panel for my tail lights. I may just have to steal that idea from you.

If you want the sheet metal for the template let me know and ill ship it down to you. I made the template out of 2 pieces because it was easier. I then traced it on one big piece.

I bet. I was just going to use some cardboard for the template and fiberglass right on top of it. Now that I think about it, I may have to do the driver side too in order for it to look symmetrical.

It would probably not be that hard to match the other side since the drivers side will be more of a straight shot.

got my coolant overflow tank mounted. I will try and take better pics of the bracket tomorrow as I need to trim that one bolt or get a smaller one so it is not as close to the radiator.

Just finished adding a bulk head fitting with a 150 degree push lock AN fitting to the top of the over flow tank. This makes it easier to open since it is so close to the rad hose. Also added a 45 fitting to the over flow outlet on the thermostat housing. Mainly to help steer the over flow hose away from the PS pump. it still touches it but doesn't lay on it like before. Now I just need to get it back together and fire her up and hope my DIY hoses don't have any leaks!

well I got the car all back together and coolant filled up... Zero leaks and it has been a couple days.

Well since I am moving out to Ohio I figured I would take advantage of the E85 and the MS3X's ability to use GM flex fuel sensors. I will be putting this in after we move. I already have a Wally 255, all the AN fittings and hose along with a fuel rail I modified and then the FPR pictured. I still need to get bigger injector for when I turbo the car but besides that my fuel system is pretty much ready to drop in.

Are you still running the 10.5:1 compression pistons? And if so how much boost do you plan on running? Also was wondering if you had a part number for those audi coils? And keep up the good work! Your an inspiration

I still have the 10.5:1 pistons. I currently have an evo3 16g I plan to run so probably around the 20psi area. I don't plan to slap it on and go at 20 psi. I will be starting off at like 8 running a mix of E85 and 93. See how it does. I still also plan to add meth injection so I feel very confident it shouldn't have knock issues. I don't have the Audi coil p/n off hand but if you got to page 2 or 3 I have the links to the mega manual. That's where I got the part numbers.

Are you going to get the AEM water/methanol kit? I was checking it out on their site and noticed a single nozzel. Do you treat it like a fogger systen and mount it on your intake pipe or are you going to drill and tap a spot on your intake? I noticed you did the jeep 60mm throttle body build/swap, do you think using the old iac port on the intake would be a good spot to mount that wet/meth injector? Im looking at doing the same for my car so I have been keeping an eye on your build. Your quite the inspiration.

I am going to build my own kit actually. I already have the gst/gsx rear mounted windshield washer fluid tank mounted so that will hold the fluid.

I am toying around with the idea of either using a pump from devils own injection and one of their nozzles or getting a inline fuel pump and using an injector. I could then hook he injector up to MS and use that to control how much goes in rather than just X amount from X nozzle.

As for placement you want it about 6 inches from the throttle body. You need to give it time to evaporate and cool the incoming air.

The fuel pump and injector would both have to be able to withstand the alcohol.

Havn't had much time to fix the pictures. Been busy renovating the condo my girl friend and I bought. Because of that I havnt had much time to work on the eclipse.

I have a few new pics though of the engine bay paint touched up along with my fuelab fpr. I have a GM ethanol sensor plumbed into the return line. Still need to wire it in and set up the MS but once that's done I will be able to run in flex fuel mode and let Ms make the changes based on ethanol %. I will post up once I get that done. Curious if it will be a noticeable gain on an NA car.

Finished hooking up the ethanol sensor and getting it set up in tunerstudio. Put in a gallon of e85 just to make sure MS would compensate appropriately. All my numbers were rock solid so on to filling the tank up the rest of the way!

Started fixing some of the pics that got lost. Still a work in progress here and there when I have some time.

Been running higher and higher % of ethanol and I gotta say there is a difference even on a NA car. The highest I have gotten it to is 45% (still running the tank down). Obviously I don't have dyno numbers so it's all butt dyno. The car idles better and is smoother through the RPM range. Definitely an e85 supporter now!

I have been playing around with tunerstudio and megalogviewer more. Megalogviewer is definetly a handy tool! Still learning the ins and outs and what to look for and what graphs are handy etc but here's a quick shot of my drive home from work today.
