DSM link guys have a Inj deadtime question

Hi all i have a set of what are suposed to be 680cc pte injrctors. I got them new but theres no markings on them and they have a green half shell like FIC injectors. anyway i have been burning chips left and right trying to get the base close using only a MAFT 2.0 and my primitive chip burning skills. I have ended up as of today with global setting at 750cc (2c hex) and 264 us deadtime (+ 11) is there a list of injector global and deadtime settings for difrebt types of injectors? it would be alote easyer to start somwhat close instead of burning 10 times. I bet the dsmlink guys have an idea about this. CAn sombody that has axcess to dsmlink forums post my question? Or somhow get me axcess to the forums. that would be great. BTW this is pertaining to a 1g. thats why i dont have the link in the first place. Were just stuck with manipulating code in the fun hex leval.

I think most of the dsmlink guys start around 315 for the dead time, when you burn your chip remember that this number might not be the same as the one we input.

If your setting is a total dead time instead of just a dead time correction.

This is what's listed in the DSM link user guide as a starting point. Bear in mind it's just a starting point, and the DSM link has a quirk by which the dead time values must be divisible by 15. You can also download the DSM link user guide from their website:http://www.dsmlink.com/downloads.html

My PTE 780cc injectors seem to like a 375 dead time. Maybe something just a little lower like 325 or 350 would work for the 680cc's

Through my experience finding the right deadtime for injectors is a bit tricky, its more of a trial and error method as outlined by the user guide. I have 780cc FIC injectors with dead time set at 240 however my LTFT are not quite at zero more like -6% at cruise and +5% at idle and if i was to lower it to say 230 the numbers turn around.
I suppose that it all depends on your injector brand and if more of us would post deadtime and injector size, we could come up with a list which will be extremly helpfull not only to you 1g people but also to us dsmlink owners. It would cut down so much time in trying to find the right dead time....

I'm running the PTE 680cc. My dead time is spot on at 390.

My PTE/Delphi 780s seem to like a 270 dead time for some reason. Sounds a little low to me, but the LTFTs seem to back it up.

hey dougn are both your cruise LTFT and idle LTFT right at zero?
or what are your numbers?

Both pretty close to zero. Idle LTFT is usually still a little bit lower than cruise LTFT. I still need to tweak the settings just a hair. I had to unhook the battery the other day because I had to work on the alternator, which of course reset the ECU and I didn't have my settings saved. So I'm having to recalibrate everything. Right now I'm at -39% global and 270 dead time, with the LTFTs just both barely negative, maybe -1% or so.

shouldnt you have it at 42%??
i too have mine at 270 but my idle lift is like 6% and at cruise is around -3.5% i tried going up and down but that right there is as close to zero as i could possible get it to..

From what many have said, they actually flow more like 750s, so that's why I went with 39%. Seems to be working out OK so far.

You are logging LTFT Lo for idle and LTFT Mid for cruise, correct?

he he......no, i was just loging ltft in general. I downloaded the upgrade like two days ago so i will try once again using low ltft and mid ltft, so high ltft is for WOT?

Not sure. I just know Lo and Mid are what you're supposed to use to set global and dead time.

Wow somthin happend to my topic notify? sorry havent posted back in a while. Anyway i see that stangtt that your running 390us on your 680 pte. I am gonna try some bigger deadtime stuff and see what i come up with. yes we need to start a basic list for quick referance. Ill report back this week with my findings.
