OK I finally got my talon back up and running after almost 8 mths of being down. This may be long so beware. Got a motor that had 800 miles on the short block, and a freshly rebuilt head. I am having a couple of problems already. The car is a 1g

1st- car overheats under boost or a heavy load....new thermostat, water pump, gaskets, cap (rated for 16lbs), new head gasket. Did a compression test 150 across all 4 cyc., checked for any leaks, did a rad. Flush. No fluid in oil. Fans are running

2nd- when breaking the steering wheel vibrates badly. All rotors are new as well as pads. Proper tire pressure is in the wheels. New ball joints, and inner and out tie rod ends. 2 new front axles, wheel alignment

3rd- for some reason my shutter box no longer works. Checked all wiring and still nothing

4th- the motor itself has a banging noise coming from it. Only happens with high rpm's, about 2500 +. Nothing at idle. Almost sounds like a rod when there going bad...haven't pulled the oil pan off to check the rods just yet. Hoping it is not that

This really sucks to still have all the problems I am having...oh wait I have a DSM.....I have to keep my sense of humor or I burn this car

1.to answer your first question most likely there's air in your cooling system try to bleed the air out by turning on your heater and taking the cap off let it warm up and watch to see if the thermostat opens if it does then your level should drop.If you've already checked to see if it opens skip that part and just check to see if there's bubbles coming out through there if there is that's the air leaving the system gently rev the engine don't rev it to hard or coolants going to fly out.When you see that the bubbles have stopped or almost stopped your done bleeding the system

2.Check your mounts most likely one or more of them is broken

4.some dsm's do that I don't really know what it is but some people tell me it's either a bent valve or a problem with the balance shaft or a bad oil lifter in the head
