yea .... kinda but 800 lbs is 25% the weight of the car. I still think 300 max.

While it may not quite be 800 (although it could be) it's definately more than 300.

does anyone have their contact info? i dunno if it is the website or my computer but i can't pull up thier website and i want a cf hatch.

thanks

This wont be settled until someone actually gets this product, weighs both and posts the results. Or until nobody cares anymore. :thumb:

The Squidskins site is back up. He replied to my email saying that he did lose 800lbs. 500 of that in bodywork and seat and the rest from a bunch of other stuff. For those of you that are interested, he'll continue to make carbon parts for about another month. Then he won't be making them until August of next year.

Hatch definately weighs under 50 pounds... i took mine off to tint it and it was a lot lighter than i thought it would be. I say prolly around 40lbs with glass, spoiler, etc. I would also think that you would want to be running a full cage with the CF parts seing how the hatch and doors offer rigidity to the frame of the car? Also, it would be quite scary to get T-boned with a CF door... OMG
