I recently noticed that my fenders are not the same height. On the driver side there is alot more space between the tire and the fender than on the passenger side. As a matter of fact on the passenger side it appears as if the wheel is almost touching the fender. The car is lowered on Eibach springs and supposedly those don't ever sag. Does anyone know what might be causing this? I never noticed it before. I dont think it's a blown shock...and the tire pressures are equal. It doesn't really affect performance (or maybe it is...I don't know). But any help would be great.

if u just put on lowering springs i heard they dont last long and eventualy just sag and crap out. you put on springs but did u change your shocks? if you just swaped springs and lowerd on stock shocks, then you most likely blew your shock, they arent ment to ride lower then what they are set at the factory.

love ur tail lights by the way if u ever wanna sell em let me know LOL they are a very rare find

Haha thanks. Yeah I won't be selling them for a while. And going back to my problem: yeah I've had Tokico blues and Eibach Prokits for quite some time now. I recently downsized from 18s to the stock 16s though, and that's when I noticed the problem. Maybe it is a blown shock...I don't know...Oh well. I'll check it out.

Interesting. I had the same problem but on the opposite side. My driver front fender had only a 2 finger gap while my passenger front had a 3 finger gap. This was when I was on the Tokico Illumina and Tokico springs. Now that I'm all stock again (except wheels) I'll go measure it tomorrow to see if I've equalized.

Aha! You don't know how relieved I am to have read that. And yeah I got the sides confused. It was the driver side that was lower than the passenger. Thanks for the link Defiant.

see that threw me off, cuz u said the passenger side was lower, so i figured blown shock or somtin, but yeah my friend had that same prob with his driver side being lower for that exact reason cuz thats where the weight always is from the driver LOL, crazy sh*t man

man,, with my prokits I only have a 2 finger gap in the front and a good 3 in the rear. You other guys have that? Im not to impressed w/ these springs. :(

My cars only been on the ground with them for a week and a half so maybe their still settling. When i first set it down I had an equal 3 fingers all the way around, then the fronts slamed down another "finger or two".

Hmmm...I don't think that my weight has made the driver side front lower than the passenger side front. I mean, I'm a skinny person who doesnt weigh that much. My Tokicos weren't even on the car for a year. I find it amazing that my weight could make the front side sag that much.

Cuttheduck: The Tokico Illuminas and springs gave me this:
front driver - 2 finger
front passenger - 3 finger
rear driver - 3.5 finger
rear passenger - 3.5 finger

Ha ha..I find this post funny. We are using fingers like it's some kind of well-known unit of measurement. We are all too lazy to go measure it with a ruler ha ha.

I know this thread is old but, I have just put some new springs and shocks on my 99 GS and now my driver's back side is higher than the passengers back side. Like some1 stated above, my car is backwards :( any1 got ideas how to fix it?

If these are stock-style springs, verify that all are sitting on their perches correctly and that they are fully embedded in the upper isolator.

Then get in.

Lol that kind of fixes it a little bit. is that really why its like that?
I was only half joking. When setting ride height (and especially corner weight), the weight of the driver should be placed in the seat. This is assuming that everything is installed properly, as Jtoby indicated.
