The difference in the GST and the GSX exhaust has nothing to do with where it goes over or under the subframe. If that was the case GSTs could use a GSX exhaust. It has to do with the gas tank.

GSX DP is different, if the designs were interchangeable shops would not have to make different ones.

The down pipe I have on my car is supposedly universal?! I guess thats just ebay though.

Every universal exhaust component I have found on eBay for the turbocharged DSMs, especially 2Gs, is always just a GST component labeled as such. I dunno if they just assume only us GST owners are cheap or they are genuinely believing it to be universal. Either which way...I don't play with eBay exhaust components anymore.
