I just fixed the leak that i had last month with my rear wiper (courtesy of the dealer and thier grommet) well my motor was badly rusted all over the outside and a tad on the inside (just the casing not the actual moving internals).

So I cleaned it out, dissolved all the old grease, comp air blew it all out. Wire brushed/wheeled it all. got all the rust off, minus some pitting. Painted the outside surfaces with enamel, re-did all the wire connections, basically remanufactured this bad boy.

So i go to start it up and it is a tad noisier than i remember. I only used it twice before, but it seems like it was quieter before.

I used this grease since i was lazy and didnt wanna get the right stuff.

It was the thickest stuff i had laying around.

What i cleaned out was half something like this on the moving internal arm, and the rest was a thicker almost like a really soft wax compound for the plastic wheel and metal worm gear.

So is this noise relatively natural or is there a specific grease i can go out and find and use?
