Does this wire have to be plugged in? Also small leak on bolt.

Picture 1=I noticed this wire keeps comming off and i have to keep putting it back on i dont know what its for and it dont seem to change anyway the car behaves does it need to be plugged in and what is it?

Picture 2=The arrow pointing at the that bolt or screw is leaking but my power steering fluid is full so do i need to worry about it? does it effect the car in anyway besides that its leaking? What to do to stop the leak?

Your better of leaving that little wire in. As far as the power steering line better put some Teflon cause it will leak on top of your alternator. That's what happened to me and my alternator died.

So put some sealant on around that leaky bolt? and what is the little wire anyway?

I will second fixing the leak. My dad has one and alternators keep going out cause he don't want to fix the leak.

It goes to the power steering. Just crush it a little and it will snap right on. As for the Power Steering leak, you need a new washer. A dealer will have it.

Just use a little electrical tape around it to keep it connected, and second you should never tolerate a leak.

Not sure what the wire is on a 1g, ive looked on the vitrual guide, but no luck

It is a ground. Not sure why it is there. My car has not had it connected for a year (because I only found out this morning where it goes), I have not seen any issues.

For the power steering leak, I agree that you need a new washer... But I would check and make sure its not over torqued, I did that once after a head job and it leaked untill I checked the torque rating from the book.

Remove the nut, take off the line, and replace the o-ring that's there. Leak fixed.

The wire makes it so your idle bumps up when you hit full lock on the steering wheel.

although the crush washer is important . this guy knows what the real problem is . good job
