Does this look worth it?

Just happened to run across this on craigslist, waiting on a reply from the guy on the brand, shaftplay? what's all included, ect.

but right off the bat does this look worth it to you guys? I'm turboing a 420a and wouldn't be running any more than 5-7lbs of boost.

also, judging from what's pictured I'd need a manifold, downpipe, boost controller, and boost gauge, correct?

It looks like a generic ebay kit. Its more miss than hit with those turbos. You never know when they will go.

I personally wouldn't trust it. Yeah its cheap but could very easily wind up being a waste of $$$

That's what I figured but when he sent me a picture of the serial it said DSM-EvoIII T3 so I didn't know if it was or not.

Yeah, I am very skeptical but figured maybe would be a good way to start a set up, then upgrade as I go. I'm not looking for very high goals, just to make my 420 faster than other 420's .

Well the ic and piping may be worth the money alone... seems like a decent deal. Although it may not be "good" stuff. Its only 250.00 and it will probably cost you that much to get someone to make the piping. Unless you can do it yourself. Just my .02 worth. Hope this helps, Keith.

True, Regardless of "Quality", If you're just looking for a starting point then for 250.. go for it

The way that I look at things you can spend 250 on something sketchy like this and completely throw 250 down the drain or you could save up and buy something worth the money.

i would give 100 if the intercooler piping was made to fit along with the intercooler. i wouldnt count on the turbo. like said above its hit or miss with ebay turbos. i would go t25.

I would not buy that kit. It is the same kit that you can get off of ebay for about 400. The turbo is a china knock off. Probably will not last long.

It looks like a ebay kit for sure like everyone says, i've heard real good about these kits and real bad, they are definitely a hit or miss but its all on you man, gl if you decide to buy it.
