The upper hose that runs from the back of the thermostat housing about 8 inches away to the intake manifold has a crack it in, and it's pissing out all the coolant, so this is a problem. Does this hose have a particular name so I can order a new one, or would it be easier to just get a generic piece of coolant hose from the parts store?

Its better to just go to an auto parts store and just buy some coolant hose. Its really cheap. Just bring the old one with you to make sure you get the right size.

Is it one of your heater hoses? Or is it the one that runs to the throttle body?

It probably would be MUCH better to just take it to an auto parts store.

If its the hose that goes from the t stat housing to the t body, then its 3/8's in hose. Go to an auto parts store and buy some 3/8 fuel/emissions hose.

If its a heater hose, go pick up some 5/8" heater hose.

It's definately a water hose, that's where the steam was pissing out after the 20 minute drive home. I was wondering why I kept loosing water after just replacing the radiator and not seeing any leaks from under the radiator area. I guess 5/8ths it is. Thanks for the help guys.

They all have names, the part number. I don't have CAPS on this machine or I'd give you the number. There are a couple of formed hoses that are difficult to replace do to tight radius bends but I don't remember that being one of them.

Keep in mind that once one of these hoses starts leaking, the rest of them are ready to follow. Replacing all of them including the heater core ones and the oil cooler ones will save a breakdown at a later date.
