Yes, you still should rewire it. Those wires only go to the plug for the fuel pump, the rest of it to the battery is still 10 gauge. When I had stock wiring I could hear my pump getting voltage (because you can hear the 255) and I'd hear it drop right back down in a second. It would just keep cycling like that until I rewired it.

It does flow a lot, but when it's at the point that you can't control fuel or fuel pressure it's a big problem with tuning.

~338awhp non-reqired 190

You dont need to do it, but it probably would be a good idea. Im not going to do mine just b/c it tuned fine and i will be getting a bigger pump sometime anyway

my 255 is giving me a headache. its like a mosquito thats just doesnt die. I havent put it to the test yet (still on t-25) so im not sure if re-wiring is necessary, but it does sound like the best thing to do.

well rewireing it dosnet seem like a bad idea. it get more stable voltage to the fp. the reason i undid mine when i did my battery relocation was because i figured a 255 is going to flow enough regardless of the voltage.

i think though because of tuneing needs and in the name of fuel pressure stability im going to rewire mine.

LOL!!

I have walbro 255 high pressure pump, what is the right way to rewire the pump, actually English is my second language so please someone explain that in easy way, I understand I should change the fuel pump wires, do I have to put thicker wires because as some said I do hear my fuel pump voltge changed, my mechanic said by rewire I should put the possitive to direct battrie voltage, please explain what is the correct way to do it and what wire thickness should I use, and do I have to reconnect it like stock fuel pump or direct to battrie so it get more voltage

Thanks guys

People do alright with the walbros and they are cheap but I'd look at a denso pump.

The "supra" pump people run is a denso but they make some that are smaller. Depends on what you are doing.. The densos are just a higher quality pump. Just look at the graph of denso pumps flow rates.'

There is some rewire info there too.
