Ok, i just finished rebuiding my head (timming jumped ) Now everything is back together and the car wont start...go figure.

Now...what im trying to figure out is this: On my car (95 GST) I have a cam sensor on the timming belt side of the head. It's a little plastic sensor that reads a thin metal plate behind the intake timming gear. Now, i know that on the 1G and the late 2G there is a cam sensor on the passenger side of the valve cover (opposite of the timming belt side) that bolts into the head and slides into the key on the end of the intake cam to read the timming.

My question is: On my year car (95 GST), there is only a rubber/plastic cover that goes on the passenger side of the intake cam, while the sensor is on the timming side as i stated above...right?

Thnx guys,
Nate

PS- I posted this in the head/valvetrain section, but was afraid i might have to wait a lil while to get an answer from that section and im up against a deadline :notgood: so i thought i would try here too.

exactly right. The '95 and '96 both have the cam sensor on the drivers side.

A grievous tactical error. People who read the forums read all the forums (we read the New Posts). :nono:
