Does anyone in the Bay Area, CA want to help a newb?

Hello.

I'm planning on going up from Concord to near Sacramento to look at a '91 Galant VR-4 that isn't currently running. I'd like a knowledgeable person to tag along with me to check it out and basically tell me if it's worth buying or not. This will be my first project. I figure I have to start somewhere, why not start with something cool?

I could pay $20, a case of beer, or both. Or something.

Thanks for the links. I actually found this forum through that second link there. It doesn't seem that they actually have a forum; just a mailing list.

As for the big thread that's already going, I'm gonna run through there and see if anyone is near me, then attempt to bug 'em.
