Hey how is it going dsmers?
Well I know the 1g turbo are 60mm and the 2g turbo are 52mm. The question is... what are the sizes for the non turbo throttle body. Someone told me the 1g non-turbo is bigger then the 2g turbo.

Why am I asking about sizes? Well I got a bad IAC motor tried to replace it broke the housing and I know a couple of 1g non-turbo cars around in a junk yard. I'm going to pull the whole throttle body with IAC off a 1g non-turbo if its bigger....

Oh yea also is 1g non turbo intake manifold bigger then 2g turbo manifold? I might pull that off while i'm at it too.

I am installing a 1G non turbo TB on my 1G turbo car. The TPS sensor is much bigger on the non turbo(interfers with the fuel rail) so I decided to clock the TB 90 degrees, now the TPS is on the bottom and the throttle cable is on the top. This works well for me and only the throttle cable has to be moved. I also used a block off plate so the FIAV and ISC are elimated. I have a standalone ECU and will deal with cold start issues using non factory parts. Not sure how that would work if you are keeping the ISC??
 
go with an older jeep t/b off the straight 6 its alot biger and you dont have to mod it that much, theres also a tech article on

So I can just block off my ISC and FIAV? I have a dsmlink without the ISC would the dsm link be still able to control Idle?

Jeep TB I have to look into that sounds interesting I try looking up the tech guide for it...send me the link if you can.

not really, you need the FIAV for cold starts and you really need the ISC when your accesories kick on, cooling fans, AC, lights, etc. You need to have a way to let extra air bypass the throttle plate for those condtitions. I am doing it because I will add a different type of air control to the manifold. Otherwise it becomes a real pain if you drive the car anywhere but the track.
