Do I still need a MAF-T?

buying that bov will not solve the "venting with stock mas" problem, the reason you get the maf translator is to place the maf behind the bov so no metered air is lost when shifting..

alright....im starting to realize why you guys flame venting so much, its gonna cost around $450 just yo hear the BOV. Can you hear the BOV if its recirculated? Because i dont care if its not that loud i just want to hear it from the inside of the car and i know when my buddy put his secret weapon intake on his 1.8t you could hear his....

To answer your question-YES, you can still hear the BOV if it's recirculated. With a complete hard-pipe setup including intake pipe (such as Dejon Tool or Injen), it'll be even louder.

I don't have the RFL, but I have Greddy upper and lower intercooler pipes with a recirculated Type S Blow off Valve. I can hear it during shifts, even with my windows up.

The greddy type S sounds like a mouse fart (laser is also accurate). I have the Greddy Type RS and that sounds like a Blitz or a vented HKS SSQV (wooooooshhhhhh)...I like it.

i bought my car with the hks ssqv bov... too much compressor surge, cause HKS thought it "sounded cool" if i had the choice id have a 1g bov

did you have to get a kit to recirculate it??

I had a 1g BOV. Smooth as silk, cheap as dirt. But it leaked around 18-19 PSI.

Now I have the über-chattery SSQV. Many SSQV'ers would tell you they'd trade. Sure it sounds bad ass, though. Slowly rolling off-throttle from WOT is ridiculous. It goes ChChChaChuChuhChugChughChughChughChughhughughughughughughughugh for as long as I can slowly get out of it. My poor turbo thrust bearing.

If it were my choice, I'd be recirculating a TIAL instead of venting the SSQV, but I already painted myself into this corner.
