Hi, I want to upgrade to a FP Big28 or even bigger...
Do I really need a filter (high-flow K&N filtercharger) ?
Here in Switzerland you lose your driver licence for about 1-3 month if they catch you and you even get a ticket.

If you can afford it, get the K&N drop in filter for your car. The FIPK is a waste of money.

Technically you don't need a filter, but I wouldn't be cause dead without one. The only way you can run without a filter is if you run a system like the blow thru set up with a translator. But like I said for a street car I wouldn't be caught dead without one. :thumbdown

Air filters are highly overrated and you don't need one.

only crazy people have air filters, don't worry, just remove the filter, and fill the void w/ as much sand, sugar, or metal shavings as possible, it should give you about a 125-175 hp increase.

No you don't need one of those high flow filters. You won't go as fast, but you'll be fine. Good luck!

I can see the sarcasm, but it was way out in left field as if the topic were "Air filter vs. nothing" when it was "freer flowing air filter vs. stock air box." Better luck pwning someone next time.

Get a K&N filter and build a cold air box out of sheetmetal for it, paint it black, and slap some kinda factory looking mitsubishi sticker on it so if you get pulled over just tell the cop its a factory optional item.
