I Bouught 550 Injectors And The Guy Told Me The Car Would Still Run Without A Safc Which So Far Is A Load Of Crap.will A Maft And 3 Gm Mas Fix It Or Should I Go With A Safc .

MAFT does the same kinda thing but i'm not to skilled in the MAFT never touched one.
some kind of fuel management is a wise idea if you are running bigger injectors no matter what.
1g cars with 2gmas and 550cc's usually run alright without S-AFC.

When I picked up my old 550's I didnt even bother to see the outcome with out somthing to controll fuel. I picked up a SAFC II and went from there, It worked out well though.

You can tune with a maft, but it is difficult to do. You will also need a keydiver chip to control idle, and fuel.
And can be had for around 150 or so. And your car will run pretty nice.

Anytime you change a component, the computer cannot compensate for it as it was not trained to do so. Ergo, you need a SAFC, DSM link, etc. Or go whole hog and get the AEM EMS. Fuel control is the most important part of tuning. Adding thingies that won't work together doesn't cut it. The controller is the single most important part. It's where you dial it all in.

Yes, you need a tuning device. A gm mas set up or afc or dsmlink will be needed to get the car running good, which one you pick is up to you. A 2g mas would make it drivable but the tune would not be that great. To get the most out of the bigger injectors you have to have a tuning device.
